Protekt Aire 6000 Mattress System
The Protekt Aire 6000 by Proactive Medical is designed to deliver individualized therapy for the treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers ranging from stages 1 to 4. This advanced mattress system combines alternating pressure therapy to relieve major pressure points and low air loss therapy to maintain a cool, dry surface for the user.
Its cell-on-cell design features two layers of air cells: the top layer alternates pressure, while the bottom layer remains static at a consistent firmness to provide support even in the event of a power outage.
The mattress is protected by a durable, fluid-resistant, anti-microbial outer cover with non-shearing properties to safeguard the user’s skin. A quilted interior adds extra comfort, and three non-skid rubber panels on the bottom keep the mattress securely in place.
The system offers adjustable pressure and airflow settings as well as four alternating cycle times (10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes) to customize therapy levels. In case of a power failure, both audible and visual alarms alert caregivers to low air pressure. A full static mode fully inflates the mattress for safe transfers and repositioning. For users requiring additional support, the Protekt Aire 6000 is also available with raised side rails.
